Foodies’ dream night out

Today I received an email from the Taste Club with info on an intriguing event.

It is called simply “The Lab” and tickets go on sale tomorrow, 27th March.

The event is an evening of foodie heaven – five hours of unique chef-led experiences designed to challenge the way you think and feel about flavour.   It features some of the world’s leading gourmet innovators, a list of people to make any dedicated foodie drool with excitement,  from some of the top restaurants in the world!
I give you…

.

Massimo Bottura, whose restaurant Osteria Francescana in Modena is 5th best in the world

.

Alex Atala, Brazil’s top chef, whose Sao Paulo restaurant D.O.M. is 4th best in the world

.

Lars Williams, Head of Research and Development at Noma, the best restaurant in the world

.

Miles Irving, world-reknowned UK-based forager

.

Ashley Palmer-Watts, Executive Head Chef for Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck group
and Head Chef at Dinner

.

and many other food experts and chefs who will give insight into their food inspirations.
There will be tutorials, masterclasses, surprise collaborations, cocktails and tastings.
Tickets are £75, which seems very reasonable for five hours of foodie education and delight from the current stars and gems of the food world.

.

It runs for three nights 25th, 26th, 27th April at Tobacco Dock, London.  Further information and tickets are available on the website here.   The lineup for each night is still to be confirmed but it is likely that tickets will sell fast, so wait at your peril.
I only wish I could afford a trip to London just now, as it sounds like the evening of a lifetime!  I sincerely hope this is not a one-off!

Do tell all if you manage to attend!  I am drooling just thinking about it!

  1. Did you get to go? Did you blog about it? I just found this and now I am dying to know LOL!

    • Nope, sorry Brandi – I wasn’t well enough for travelling last year. I haven’t heard if it is happening again but there are lots of new foodie events popping up all over the UK – you’ll have to plan a visit sometime! x
